We offer a tripod made of high-quality stainless steel as an accessory for the fire bowl. But what can you do with a tripod like this? And do you really need one? In this article, we’ll briefly discuss the different ways you can use a tripod and explore whether it’s the right accessory for your fire bowl set.
A quick note about our tripod: The stainless steel tripod for the fire bowl consists of three sturdy legs made of stainless steel. These legs are connected at the top by a pivot point, forming a stable base that can be placed over a fire bowl. Stainless steel is the ideal choice of material here, as it is not only robust and durable but also weather-resistant and corrosion-resistant—it typically lasts for decades and can be left outdoors year-round. And, in particular, it fits perfectly into the Stahlkunst stainless steel concept, since all fire bowls from our workshop are also made of high-quality stainless steel, meaning that the corresponding accessories should likewise be made of stainless steel. The tripod also features so-called “telescoping legs”—these can be extended and retracted, allowing the tripod’s height to be adjusted as needed. With a span of 105–196 cm, the height can be adjusted very flexibly. The included chains can also be adjusted for height—the legs have hooks to which the chains can be securely fastened.
Now we come to the possible uses of the tripod: what can you do with this accessory and would it be worth buying?
The tripod is the perfect way to cook and grill outdoors. You can hang a Dutch oven or a pot from the tripod’s hook and prepare delicious stews, soups, or roasts over an open fire. The height-adjustable hanging system allows you to precisely control the heat, making cooking easier and safer. This is a major advantage for anyone who enjoys cooking outdoors or would like to give it a try. Cooking over an open fire is a truly wonderful experience—not only is it fun, but it also produces delicious results. The hot fire brings out entirely different flavors that you simply can’t achieve on a conventional stove. With a suitable grill grate, the tripod can also be used as a grill station. You can grill various types of meat, fish, or vegetables and enjoy the characteristic aroma of an open fire. The grill grate can also be adjusted in height to regulate the temperature. Another major advantage of the tripod is its flexibility: you can light a nice campfire and then spontaneously decide to grill on the fire bowl —all you have to do is hang the tripod with the grill grate, and you’re ready to go. For kindling, you can use either firewood or charcoal in the fire bowl, or even mix the two together.
In conclusion, the tripod is an excellent accessory for anyone who wants to get more out of their fire bowl than just a simple fire pit and expand the range of experiences it offers. With the tripod, the fire bowl isn’t just a simple fire pit—it becomes a real, authentic outdoor kitchen and grill station where you can prepare a wide variety of delicacies over an open, hot fire. Outdoor cooking over an open fire is something truly special because it’s an idyllic and atmospheric experience with friends and family that you’ll fondly remember—not to mention the unique taste experience provided by the phenomenal roasted aromas, which make every dish prepared over an open fire an absolute highlight.
