Cooking on an open fire - with the steel art fire bowl

Back to the original, natural & elemental - completely without technology, gas or electricity. Outdoor cooking has enjoyed great popularity for some time - because it promises not only delicious dishes with great fiery flavors, but also harmony, relaxation & tranquility. When cooking on an open fire, you reflect on the essentials in this world and can let your thoughts run free and switch off... a meditation for yourself, you could say. And especially in times of crisis, you have an important fallback option for blackouts - because you can cook almost anything you want on an open fire - even baking is possible with a Dutch Oven!

Cooking on the stainless steel fire bowl - what do I need?

At our Stahlkunst Edelstahl Manufaktur, everything revolves around the open fire. As a manufacturer of stainless steel fire bowls, you'll find high-quality fire pits for your outdoor space that remain rust-free, corrosion-resistant & weatherproof. If you own a steel art fire bowl, that's already a good start for outdoor cooking. Because the fire bowl is of course the basis, so that you can cook on an open fire.

In addition to the fire bowl, our Stahlkunst Manufaktur has developed a matching stainless steel cooking rack to turn any Stahlkunst fire bowl into an outdoor kitchen. The cooking rack is made of solid stainless steel and is enormously robust - it can bear a load of over 100 kilograms and is a true, yet not heavy colossus. You can place the cooking rack on top of your stainless steel fire bowl and start a fire underneath - once the fire has settled in, you now have an outdoor stove, powered by fire. It is a true experience for the whole family to now cook dishes on an open fire - you have a completely different feeling while cooking and can concentrate on the essentials.

Now you need a suitable cooking utensil - it can be a wok, pan, kesell or Dutch Oven. We like to cook on a cast iron wok. Here you have a phenomenal taste! Our customers are also enthusiastic about this and regularly report that dishes cooked by means of a wok on an open fire taste better than on a stove. Now you just need to put oil in the wok - your outdoor kitchen is ready. The oil heats up quickly, so you can start cooking shortly after. In general, with the cooking rack you have excellent heat - with a load of firewood you can cook dishes for hours if you want.

What else is there to consider? Almost nothing. If you're brand new to lighting fires, it's more comfortable to wait until the blazing flames have died down before you start outdoor cooking, as it's easier to handle the heat. However, outdoor cooking is really a lot of fun and very special - you will notice this when you cook. Back to the roots, as they say: back to harmony with nature, to harmony & to originality - far away from the stresses of modern city life. After outdoor cooking, you really realize how little you can get by with and how little things can make you happy. It's a harmonic journey that you glide into for a few hours - we can only recommend it.
